Multiplex Control System Wiring Acura MDX
What is Multiplex control System? usually a Multiplex control management System has four internal capabilities: 1. Multiplexing; 2. Wake up/sleep; 3. Fail-safe; and 4. Self-diagnosis.
Multiplexing means that send multiple signals to shared wire. The wake up/sleep functions to decrease parasitic draw on the battery when the ignition switch is OFF. The fail-safe fixes or ignores faulty signals and stop improper operation. And self-diagnostic is employed to diagnose multiplex control management system (mode 1) and failure in input line of every system (mode 2)
In Acura MDX 2001 model year, the multiplex control management system consists of door, driver and passenger multiplex control management units. above schematic illustrates the placement index of every multiplex control management unit put in on 2001 Acura MDX series.
